Phoenix, AZ – December 16, 2020 – PEPID, a global provider of trusted evidence-based clinical decision support solutions, announced that Canisius College, the premier private university in Western New York, has chosen PEPID Clinical Rotations Companion (CRC) to enhance their physician assistant studies master’s program. PEPID Clinical Rotations Companion will be available for the first cohort of students and faculty from their first day of classes through graduation starting in January 2021.

Aimee Larson, MPAS, PA-C, the clinical assistant professor and program director of the newly-accredited physician assistant (PA) studies program at Canisius has gone to great lengths to provide the intimate cohort participants and faculty with state-of-the-art resources including simulations labs, and digital learning references.

PEPID Clinical Rotations Companion is a custom-curated digital resource that provides interactive guidance on critical decision points of the patient care process for practicing clinicians and medical professionals in training globally. PEPID CRC includes step-by-step processes for exams, dosing calculators, clinical tools, a drug-drug interactions checker as well as thousands of evidence-based searchable drug and disease content including PURLs. Canisius choose CRC to provide students with a professional electronic decision-making tool early in their education, as well as promote cross collaborations among faculty to create a cohesive curriculum around one constant resource. Adopting professional tools used in a professional setting early on, creates a seamless transition from the classroom to the bedside.

“We are honored to partner with Canisius physician assistant master’s program in their effort to provide the highest quality education for future healthcare providers,” commented John Wagner, President of PEPID and Canisius alumni class of ‘76. “Their commitment to delivering relevant and modern educational resources to their students aligns with PEPID’s mission to provide medical students and clinicians with the most innovative life-saving and time-saving tools to support the best patient care possible for every patient.”
